I disappeared down to Coolangatta this weekend to visit and attend the functions of the Wintersun Festival. Oh man I really had a great time, drinking beer, listening to Rockabilly, checking out loads of money pumped into classics. It's a shame that next year it's moving to Port macquaire.. Hopefully the gold coast people dont let such a great event leave. It's been such an anticipated event every year for me. !!!

The best thing about this picture is; the photograph that is behind the drawing is a hour long exposure of my local graveyard, on a full moon, near the stroke of midnight.

Unfortunately I left my camera in the sun; the film then decided to melt inside the camera. Least it didn't go to waste and it's got death written all over it.

So this is me new board. A Classic Malibu "jai lee" noserider with some alterations. I pulled the wide point back 8' to give her some hips and pulled the nose in to about 161/4'. She is all lady and I'm about to try her with Scotty Stopniks "Flyer" D fin.

I think I might be preparing myself for some slip sliding and bogeying all the way to the shore.

I just finished reading "The Death Of Bunny Munro". A new feature by one of my favourite people in existence, Nick Cave.

It's a much more simpler read than thought, as nick knows the many words of the english language. It's perverted, inverted, sad and motivating. It captures the inner essence of how sick a man can be, it captures the moments of his everyday. We are all really just a pack of animals anyway and we were put here to breed, some just repress while some let the devil ride and steer both heads into the abyss...Thankyou for the dreams Nick.

it pissed down rain not long ago. It actually really pissed down rain. All my old stuff was in boxes inside the garage, (in which you would think it was safe). Water must of come flowing from everywhere and all my shit ended up shatched.. So in my attempt of saving all my memories, I got the hair dryer and sat for hours air drying each individual page.

It ended up being a most blissful experience, with every new page I sat and read and the memories came flooding back with the rain.

I will never give up writing, cause there is always some many things you forget...

To my surprise I stood back in awe at how glamourous my painting looked amongst the ginger beer making/fish living/plant growing infestation of a man cave he has.

I grab a couple of shoots with my iphone (cause it's my phone) but shall be back to sneak a couple more with my Holga wide angle panorama. I think that will go down a treat.

New Jai Lee Captain fin

This is the shape and design of my new Captain Fin coming out sometime this year? I think>??

Imagery by the famous rockabilly "Pat Capocci" (Thanks a million pat).

The fin has a bit more rake in the upper part to give it a bit more drag in the turns but still keeping the height and the base of a standard pivit noserider fin for those much needed lock in situations.

Pat Capocci made his way up to Noosa this for a xmas bash at Joe's Waterhole.

Miss Weather also felt a bit of xmas cheer her self, making some nice little waves at the points.

Since it had been a donkey's year since I have surfed the points on my log I decided to try something a little different. I pulled out the Tyler Hatzikian Captain Fin to give it a whirl and god dam for a fin this size, I actually found it quite responsive and loose? which is weird. Though fucking awesome at the same time, it held in like it would never leave and turned with the precise flow to swoop around and come back all in one movement.

If your not into pivot turns and you like to flow out your turns this is the fin for you.

I have read many many books on the dealings with the devil ( may I add briefly that I have never read anything from that werido "Levay" from the Church of Satan, although I have watched a few interviews with the guy and he really should have been a comedian ? hahah )

Though about 18th century witches is my love, my pain and my curiosity. My love for the understanding of nature, the adaption to the earth, the combination of herbal remedies and the unlimited source of imagination. My pain for the millions and millions that were killed and or tortured to death by the worse means possible, the innocent accusations to anyone that was an outsider, they say the devil worked his magic against the venerable, the people with need : but we all know the devil gave form from the centre of a city, the power of a town. He was the total tosser sending these woman and some men to death by the stake or some ingenious torture device everyday. This is why I cant understand how any woman could ever become involved with christianity, because it was christianity that grew by numbers while all others were being accused and murdered.

But I should stop there, that is not my point to this little story.

But I dare do say, what is wrong with imagination? What was wrong with imagination? How can one or a selected few people decide what is right and what is wrong and then condemn them to certain death.

I am just so glad we have learned from our ancestors cause if we hadn't I wouldnt be as happy as I am today.
